Information for Craft Professionals
You've trained for years mastering your craft — including how to work safely for yourself and everyone on your jobsite. That same commitment extends to mental health.
Construction workers have the second-highest rate of suicide and the highest rate of overdose deaths of any U.S. industry. Hard Hat Courage is the construction industry's collective commitment to change that — making it as important to talk about mental health as physical health.
Every life matters. Every conversation counts. Bring Hard Hat Courage tools to your jobsite or office to support your mental health and your peers.
Suicide Prevention & Awareness
Use the tools below as practical resources you can put into action on the job. Review them yourself, bring them into crew conversations, or share them with your foreman, superintendent, safety lead, or project leadership so they can support wider use across the project.
Each tool helps you recognize warning signs, check in early, and connect people to support when needed.
